No meetings in SALES is a SIN !

Monday is over. It is Tuesday, the second day of the week and I find myself standing with no meetings. I already started feeling butterflies in my stomach.

A popular saying on coffee can be applied to sales meetings as well. 

A lot can happen over a cup of coffee – A deal can happen over a meeting

– unknown

Sales meetings are opportunities to connect with people & build relationships, demo our product or service, clear any objections from the prospects and close the deal. ( connections & relationships – salespeople who are good at this are more successful than their peers). Every sales person should create those opportunities and progress.

Consistency in daily sales meeting rate would eventually help us do our numbers consistently. More the number of meetings(unique) the merrier the sales funnel is. If we fall short here, it directly impacts us with delayed deal closures or opportunity cost with competition taking the first step with prospects. So, imagine having no meetings is like what? It is definitely a SIN.

While salespeople do their best in fixing up meetings for themselves through cold calling or market combing or referrals,etc. it is crucial that Organizations augment these efforts with a good lead generation engine in place. This boosts the number of daily meetings and avoids those Zero days which are not so motivating in sales.

A day filled with a good number of quality sales meetings is the day I wish to have everyday 🙂
