I say salespeople are heroes. Not because I am a sales person, but I have proof.

Details listed here are definitely going to ignite the sales spirit and keep us proud for being the revenue generators of any business(brand).
Going to details –
Let’s recollect the job posts published by companies(brands)
Older Version –
We need people who could..
- Sell a refrigerator to an Eskimo
- Sell a comb to a bald guy, etc..
The newer version –
We need some one who can
- Create a compelling story of the product or brand and articulate it to customers
- Be empathetic and build lasting business relations
- Highly motivated and creative problem solver
- Drive business with their personal brand in the target market
And the list goes on.. So, what does it indicate? The brands (companies who own brands)are looking for sales people who can sell anything to anyone which is an acceptance of sales people being superior to the brands created by companies.
Working in an enterprise sales team for an IT company, I heard the product or brand owners saying it to us – “we might have built a great product but if we don’t have star salespeople to take it to the market then success is a distant dream”
Hope this summarises the importance of sales people in an organisation with or without a great product.
So, be proud to have been in sales and the real super heroes behind the brand success. And remember, whether we sell product of reputed brand or not we still need to build our personal brand to steer to success
